How to connect Address Book to LDAP on the server

1. Open the Address Book preferences.

2. Click on the 'LDAP' tab.

3. Click the + sign in the bottom left-hand corner.

4. Use these settings:

Name:           Sheppard LDAP Server
Server:         dhcdev.dyndns.org
Search Base:    ou=consultpro,dc=consult-pro,dc=com
Port:           389
Use SSL:        Unchecked
Scope:          Subtree

User name:      Your user name on the server.
Password:       Your password on the server.

Auth Type:      Simple

5. Click 'Save'.

6. Test that it is working:

        - In Address Book click on 'Directories'.
        - Under 'Directories' click on 'Sheppard LDAP Server'.
        - Type a name such as 'Paul' in the search box in the upper right-hand corner of the window.
        - The user info should appear.
